Electric Vehicles for Marine and Port Areas: Albamobility at the Genoa Boat Show 2026

Anyone working in ultra-luxury tourism or the development of premium residential estates knows this all too well: high-end guests or residents do not simply judge a property by its square metres or the quality of its finishes. They assess every detail of the experience, including how they move around the premises.

Internal mobility has become one of the elements that distinguishes a truly excellent property from one that is merely good. And the private, silent, stylish, zero-emission electric cart is the mode of transport that ultra-luxury properties and premium residential developments are adopting as standard. Not as an optional extra, but as an integral part of the product.

Albamobility is bringing this vision to TTG – InOut in Rimini (14–16 October 2026, INOUT Area – Hall B5D5, Stand 017), the leading B2B trade fair for tourism and hospitality in Italy.

Two worlds, one philosophy: ultra-luxury resorts and resort-style living

The ultra-luxury market today operates along two parallel tracks that often overlap.

On the one hand, there are accommodation facilities of the very highest standard: large historic estates, resorts with integrated golf courses, historic residences converted into boutique hotels with centuries-old parks, and natural complexes where every detail of the stay is attended to with impeccable standards. In these settings, guests do not simply expect bed and breakfast: they expect a complete experience, where getting around the premises is part of the story.

On the other hand, the market for ‘resort-style living’ is growing rapidly: private residential complexes, entire neighbourhoods or estates divided into villas, which offer their residents hotel-standard services. Swimming pools, golf courses, concierge services, spas and grounds maintenance. And increasingly, a fleet of electric golf buggies is provided for each individual villa.

In both cases, electric mobility is not merely an accessory. It is a defining feature of the product.

The electric cart included in the sale of the villa: a new property asset

This is the most significant change in recent years in the luxury property sector: the electric golf cart is no longer simply a vehicle you find in the garage when you rent a summer cottage. In the new generation of premium residential developments, the cart is included as part of the villa’s standard specification.

This means that the developer includes it in the specifications, the sales agent presents it as standard equipment during viewings, and the buyer receives it along with the keys. It is not an optional extra: it is part of the property’s value.

The reasons are sound:

• Competitive differentiation: in a market where all luxury villas offer high-quality finishes and panoramic views, having a bespoke electric golf trolley provided is a tangible and immediately noticeable sign of superiority

• Consistency with the development’s identity: a trolley bearing the development’s colours or logo reinforces the sense of belonging to an exclusive private community

• Perceived value of the purchase: a designer item that is functional, eco-friendly and has a clear list price enhances the property’s value without significantly affecting the total cost of the transaction

• Everyday user experience: residents who take their cart every morning to reach the clubhouse or take their children to the swimming pool experience the exclusivity of the estate in a concrete, rather than abstract, way.

For property developers, it is also a marketing tool: the accompanying map speeds up negotiations, simplifies the positioning of premium properties and generates high-impact visual content for the project’s marketing.

In ultra-luxury resorts: the golf cart as a cornerstone of the guest experience

In the hospitality sector, the logic is similar but is reflected in the guest experience. In establishments that focus on ‘Eco-Luxury’ – where luxury embraces sustainability as a core value rather than a regulatory obligation – a private electric cart for every villa or suite has become a stated standard.

Not a shared shuttle service, nor a vehicle that needs to be booked at reception. One cart per suite or villa, available at any time, quiet, guaranteeing guests complete autonomy and privacy when travelling within the grounds to the spa, the clubhouse, the private beach or the golf course.

It is the concrete response to two needs that high-end guests are expressing ever more clearly: privacy (not sharing spaces and facilities with others) and independence (moving about at their own pace, without relying on staff).

The Alba range: quality, design and versatility for every setting

In these settings, Albamobility offers a range of electric vehicles manufactured in Italy, featuring designs by Walter De Silva and a standard of build quality that holds its own in any prestigious setting.

Alba SC and Alba 4SC — for residents and visitors

The SC (2-seater) and 4SC (4-seater) models are type-approved for use on public roads (L6e/L7e): they can move freely within the resort and, when necessary, travel on public roads, enter restricted traffic zones and reach the centre of the neighbouring village. They are the natural choice for residential complexes and resorts where distances within the premises are medium to long.

Cargo versions — for logistics services

The SC Cargo and 4SC Cargo versions feature a loading platform: essential in large resorts for F&B services to the villas, luggage delivery and grounds maintenance. This is another sign of true luxury: the staff move silently, without disturbing anyone and without being seen.

Alba GC — for areas with a golf course

Where the resort includes a golf course, Alba GC is the ideal solution for getting around the course: designed for use on golf courses, it offers the performance required for grassy terrain and the aesthetic quality that a prestigious setting demands.

Personalisation: the trolley that reflects the resort’s identity

In a prestigious resort, everything must be consistent. Alba vehicles can be customised in terms of colour schemes and aesthetic features to become a recognisable extension of the brand for both the accommodation facility and the property development.

For developers, a cart branded in the development’s colours becomes a highly effective visual marketing tool: it photographs well, tells a story easily and immediately conveys the calibre of the project. For the resort, it reinforces the consistency of its visual identity at every point of contact with the guest.
